It's Flu Season...
Getting an annual flu vaccine is the first and best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season.
When Should I Get a Flu Shot?
Everyone should get the Flu Vaccine by the end of October, if possible. The vaccine is still beneficial if received after the end of October and can be given into January also.
The CDC recommends use of the flu shot (inactivated influenza vaccine or IIV) and the recombinant influenza vaccine (RIV). The nasal spray flu vaccine (live attenuated influenza vaccine or LAIV) should not be used during 2016-2017.
